Access control for AI

Your AI should only see
what it’s allowed to see.

Elevated Context sits between your systems of record and your models and enforces that line on every request. Retrieval, embeddings, and model output are inputs — never permission. Authority decides what the model receives and what an action can return.

Fail-closed by design. If authority can’t be confirmed, the context is held back — ambiguity never widens access.

Why it’s different

Permission comes from your systems — not from the model.

Most guardrail tools ask a second model to guess whether something looks safe. We don’t. Elevated Context reads permission from your identity and entitlement systems, so a clever prompt can’t talk its way into data it was never granted.

Authority sets the ceiling

What a user can reach is decided by your identity and entitlement sources — not by what a prompt asks for or a model infers. Relevance can narrow what the model sees. It can’t expand it.

Data can’t grant itself access

Text from a document, a tool, or a model reply is treated as data, never as a command. It can’t escalate what a user is allowed to see or do. Every tool result is checked before it reaches the model, your storage, or the person asking.

It fails closed, not open

When identity, session, and entitlement don’t line up — or can’t be confirmed — Elevated Context holds back instead of guessing. “Not sure” is a real, named answer, never a quiet grant.

The governed request lifecycle

Every request runs the same ordered path.

Identity is established, authority is evaluated, context is compiled and narrowed, the model is invoked over only what was released, and any action result is governed before it is allowed to go anywhere.

01 · IDENTIFY
Verify identity
Google-established identity, verified by the plane. A caller-asserted email is a claim, not proof.
02 · AUTHORIZE
Evaluate authority
Consult the live authority source for present entitlement. A prior decision is provenance, not standing authority.
03 · COMPILE
Narrow the context
Retrieval and ranking select within the authorized set. The released set is a subset of what authority allows.
04 · INVOKE
Run the model
The model receives only the released context. Its output is an input to governance, not an authority.
05 · GOVERN RESULT
Release or withhold
Action results and responses pass result governance before entering context, persistence, or the user’s view.

Five decisions, always legible

Every governed outcome resolves to one named decision.

Each decision carries a color, a glyph, and a text label — so meaning is never conveyed by color alone. The same decision reads identically wherever it appears, in the product and in the audit record.

Released Withheld Transformed Denied Fail closed

Released

Context or a result was authorized and released to the model, the user, or the next step.

Withheld

Authorized in principle, but not released on this request. Holding back is a legitimate outcome, not an error.

Transformed

Released in a reduced or minimized form — only as much as the request actually needs.

Denied

The request was denied by policy. The reason is recorded; the model never sees the denied material.

Fail closed

Authority could not be established. The plane defaults to the safe outcome and names it plainly.

The same statusChip(decision) primitive renders every decision, so an operator learns the vocabulary once and reads it everywhere.

Assurance

Built to a production, multi-tenant bar.

Elevated Context is designed as a production authorization plane, not a demo. These are design commitments; where a property is proven, the status board below says so explicitly.

Tenant isolation

Every query is bound to a server-resolved tenant. A caller never selects their own tenant. Null or ambiguous tenant fails closed.

Verified identity

Identity is established by Google and verified by the plane. A service account authenticates a workload, never a person.

Least privilege

Each action and each result release is authorized independently. Reading data does not authorize an action over it.

Auditable by record

Decisions trace to persisted records. A stored row is data and provenance — it is never a standing grant for a future request.

Claim & reality

What is proven, and how.

Elevated Context states the evidence class behind each capability. We don’t round a deterministic property up to a live one, and we don’t call a design intent a shipped feature. This board reflects current engineering reality.

LIVE
Live authority evaluation Present entitlement consulted from the live authority source.
LIVE
Action-result governance (T_raw → T_admit) A tool result is governed before it may enter context or a response.
DETERMINISTIC
Containment invariant M ⊆ S ⊆ C ⊆ A Released context is always a subset of the authorized universe.
DETERMINISTIC
Full HTTP-route multi-tenant qualification End-to-end live proof across tenants over the public route.
NOT YET PROVEN
Cross-session persistence & reuse Two-session persistence/reuse qualification.
NOT YET PROVEN

LIVE — proven against the running system. DETERMINISTIC — proven by tests exercising the real governance code paths. NOT YET PROVEN — an open item we do not claim. A briefing walks through the evidence behind each row.

Where teams use it

Built for the places AI meets data it shouldn’t over-reach.

Anywhere a model touches customer records, internal knowledge, or privileged systems, Elevated Context keeps every request inside what the user is actually allowed to access.

RAG & enterprise copilots

Keep retrieval inside each user’s permissions. The assistant can only pull from documents that person was already cleared to open — no accidental cross-team leaks.

Agents that take actions

When an agent calls a tool, the result is checked before it flows anywhere. A tool’s output can’t quietly trigger the next step or expose data the user wasn’t entitled to.

Regulated & multi-tenant SaaS

One tenant’s data never bleeds into another’s answers. Every query is bound to a server-resolved tenant, and every decision is written to an audit record you can hand to a reviewer.
